Charles Bridge

Commissioned by Charles IV in 1357, the bridge is Prague's single most photographed spot — and, by midday, its most crowded. 30 statues of saints line the balustrades, most of them 18th-century baroque replacements of the originals.

For a bridge with almost no one on it, come before 7am. Musicians, portrait artists, and market stalls fill in through the rest of the day.
